19th Annual General Meeting of AMMA   The 19th Annual General Meeting of AMMA which was held on 30th June 2013 at Hotel Abad Plaza. There was 242 members attended the meeting. Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) has enhanced the financial dole to needy artistes from Rs.4,000 to Rs.5,000, and the number of beneficiaries will increased to 104 from the present 79, announced by Innocent, President of AMMA. The association will also remit Rs.12,000 each to fifty artistes under the cultural welfare fund. Those who have crossed sixty years of age would be given pension. The association is helping those artistes who are not able to remit their subscription to the welfare fund. Artistes who are outside the film world would also be eligible for this assistance. There was also an understanding at the Annual General Meeting that who are active the film world should not take part in television shows. Shows will be held when there were needs for funds to carry out humanitarian activities. Innocent said he would not comment on other organisations working in the film world. The meeting also honoured veteran actor Madhu who received Padma Sri , and others who were winners of state and national film awards.
