Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum - Movie Review

Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum - Movie Review

Lal Jose's latest directorial venture Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum can be
regarded as the best comedy entertainer of the year. The movie has been shot in the locales of Kuttanada. Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum is a return to the mood and format of Lal Jose' earlier films like Meesa Madhavan and Chandhupottu. Chakka Gopan (Kunchacko Boban) is a house boat owner. Gopan has three brothers who spend all their time sleeping. They are absolute lazybones who doesn't believe in working. As a sport they indulge in feuds, and since many people are scared of bullying trio, they try to settle the score with their sweet-tempered little brother Chakka Gopan. Kainakari Jayasree (Namitha Pramod) is a classical dancer. Gopan appoints her as the in-house artist, and they perform for the tourists who hire his boat. He tries to impress the foreigners with classical dance. Gopan falls deeply in love with her. How Gopan manages to marry Jayasree and make his brothers come on the right track, form the rest of the story. Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum presents Kunchacko in all-new avatar. It's a through comedy role and Kunchacko has done a brilliant job. Another highlight of the movie is that S Kumar is cranking the camera for Lal Jose after a long interval. The serene beauty of Kuttanad has been picturised and utilised well by the director. The place can be regarded as another highlighted tourist spot in the Malayalam cinema after Gavi, which was picturised in the movie Ordinary. Music composed by Vidyasagar is an average one. Cinematography is incredible. Coming to the performances, all the star cast have done justice to their roles.

Olipporu - Movie Review

Olipporu is the eighth movie of Fahad Fazil to be released this year. This much hyped and expected movie finally hit the theaters today. But unfortunately, the movie has not turned out well and disappoints! Ajayan (Fahad Fazil), is an ardent blogger. He makes things happen just by being online. The movie is all about him - his life and death. Few bloggers who are active on blog and social networking sites decide to organise an exclusive show in Bangalore. The main coordinator of the show is famous in the blog as Olipporali. In the final rehearsal when everyone arrives, Olipporali alone fails to reach the place. All others wait for him for a long time. Then they realise that they have very little information about the whereabouts of Olipporali. They find themselves in a dilemma. All the other coordinators who write blogs in the names of Clutch, Gear, Break, Vani and Pachakuthira are very tensed due to the absence of Olipporali for the final rehearsal of the show. Meanwhile, Olipporali meets with an accident on his way to the show and goes into a coma. The intriguing events that unfold are told in an engaging manner by AV Sasidharan in Olipporu.
